The choice between a box and a container has nothing to do with the cost. The cost depends on the weight of what we pick up. Do you have 900 kg of beams? Then we’ll just send a container, even if you’re under the weight limit.

What metals do we collect in Alkmaar?

We take almost anything made of metal. These are the four items we pick up most often:

Scrap metal is found in radiators, boilers, fencing, structural steel, and old machinery. Check the current scrap metal price.
Copper can be found in water pipes, electrical cables, and gutters. It yields by far the highest return per kilogram. Check the price of scrap copper.

What You Get for Your Metal

That depends on four factors: the type of metal, the quality, the weight, and the spot price at the time of pickup. The spot price fluctuates with the global market and therefore varies from week to week.

Non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, and lead fetch many times the price of regular iron per kilogram. A small batch of copper can sometimes bring in more than a trailer full of scrap metal. All current scrap metal prices are available online.

Please separate your metals whenever possible. Mixed materials yield less revenue because we still have to sort them apart.
