Krommenhoek Metals has extensive experience in recycling old laptops and other electronics. We hold various certifications and are, among other things, WEEELABEX-certified for Collection & Logistics. We also work closely with a social workshop. There, old laptops are manually disassembled, primarily by people who face barriers to the labor market. Thanks to this approach, we can guarantee the highest recycling rate and the cleanest material streams. Ultimately, we recover as much metal as possible so that it can be reused as raw materials.
Laptops contain not only valuable components, but also components that are hazardous to the environment. For example, there is a fire risk if the battery is handled improperly. Laptop screens may also contain mercury, especially in older models. That is why it is important to turn in old laptops to a specialized and certified company.
At Krommenhoek Metals, we offer the most sustainable solution for recycling old laptops, including in terms of social return.
