We pick up scrap metal in Utrecht at your home or on-site, from a single load to a full container. For quantities of 1,000 kg or more, this service is free of charge. If you have less than that, we’ll still come, but we’ll charge a transportation fee. Your metal is always worth money, so free transportation and a payment are two different things—both of which work out well for you. We’ve been doing this as a family business since 1925.
How Scrap Metal Collection Works in Utrecht
You won't have to lift or carry anything yourself. Our driver will arrive with a moving truck and load everything onto it.

What do we pick up, and what don't we?
We take almost anything made of metal. This includes radiators, boilers, fencing, steel pipes and profiles, structural steel, machinery, tools, metal racks, and piping from a renovation project. We can also handle entire lots from a construction site or workshop.
What we’d rather not see is metal attached to wood, concrete, insulation, or plastic. We can take that, but it lowers the price because we’ll still have to remove it. Not sure about a batch? Send us a photo via WhatsApp, and we’ll let you know in advance what we can do with it.
Container or pallet box: Which one is right for your waste disposal needs?
The right solution depends on what you have on hand and how much space you have. A workshop full of copper pipes requires a different approach than a construction site with steel beams.

The choice between a box and a container has nothing to do with the cost. The cost depends on the weight of what we pick up. Do you have 900 kg of beams? Then we’ll just send a container, even if you’re under the weight limit.

What metals do we collect in Utrecht?
These are the four we come across most often:
- Scrap metal is found in radiators, boilers, fencing, and structural steel. Check the current scrap metal price.

- You can recognize aluminum by its light weight. Think of window frames, wheel rims, and roof panels. Check the price of aluminum.
- Lead is released during roofing and renovation work, such as from lead flashing and old pipes. Check the price of lead.
We also accept brass, zinc, stainless steel, cable, and batteries. Copper, aluminum, and lead fetch a much higher price per kilogram than regular iron, so even a small batch of non-ferrous metals weighs more than you might think. All current scrap prices are listed online.

Starting at 1,000 kg. If your order is less than that, we'll still come by, but we'll add a delivery fee. We'll deduct that from the proceeds, so you don't have to pay anything up front.
You can't just guess the weight, and you don't have to. Send us two or three photos via WhatsApp along with your ZIP code. We'll let you know if you're above or below the threshold and what your shipment is worth, approximately.
A pallet box is usually delivered within 24 hours. For a container, we need a little more time because we have to schedule transportation. Call or text us with your address, and we’ll let you know right away when we can deliver.
You'll receive a weighing slip showing the weight of each type of metal and the price we used. This allows you to see exactly how the total amount was calculated and how each part of your batch was categorized.
