
Krommenhoek Metals Updates Scrap Prices: Prices for Non-Ferrous Metals Down, Scrap Iron Prices Remain Unchanged

Prices have been very reasonable in recent months, with the scrap iron price remaining very stable since early 2012, ranging between EUR 200 and EUR 240 per metric ton for scrap iron and long iron. The price ofscrap red copperwas EUR 4.90 per kilo in January, peaked at EUR 5.35 in mid-March, and remains very acceptable at the current price of EUR 5.10. The same trend naturally applies to scrap hand-peeled copper; in early January, the price stood at EUR 5.00 per kilo, peaking in mid-March at EUR 6.00 per kilo, after which the current price fell back to EUR 5.60 per kilo. Here, too, this is still a very good price.
