Automated External Defibrillator for Krommenhoek Metals B.V.

Last week, Krommenhoek Metals invested in an automated external defibrillator, or AED. The AED enables our employees—preferably those who have received training—to provide assistance as effectively and quickly as possible to individuals experiencing a heart rhythm disturbance. The device delivers an electric shock to the victim in an attempt to restore the heart’s normal rhythm. Of course, we hope that such a situation never arises at our facility, but we also do not want to be helpless should it ever occur. To this end, two employees recently completed a first-aid and AED training course, where they earned their first-aid certification.
