Cycling for Children with an Immune Disorder

On Sunday, March 3, six of our colleagues will participate in the “Cycling for Sophia” event. During this day of sports, they’ll be pedaling their hearts out to raise money for the Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital.

Last year, this event raised more than 450,000 euros! With your help, we should be able to raise even more this year and reach our goal of half a million euros.

Your contribution makes a huge difference
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. In this edition, we’re cycling to support children with immune disorders. Having an immune disorder limits many children in their daily activities, such as playing sports and going to school. In addition, many of these children suffer from anxiety, depression, and side effects related to long-term medication use.

The Goal: A Protein Analysis Device
A solution is on the horizon that could offer these children with immune disorders a better future. The Sophia Children’s Hospital would like to purchase a protein analysis device that would allow it to

It allows for an accurate and rapid assessment of the body’s response to a specific medication. Using this technique, which can even be applied to small infants, it is possible to predict how a medication will work and how the disease will progress.

Thank you very much for your support!
