At Krommenhoek Metals, we still get comments about this from time to time. Customers ask, “But wasn’t cash always the best option? So why do you pay more per kg when the payment is made entirely digitally?”

It used to be true that “cash is king.” But that’s becoming less and less the case these days. The government and banks are increasingly trying to discourage cash payments. Ordering cash is getting more expensive, as is depositing it. There are also national laws in effect that set a limit on the amount of cash allowed per transaction. 

That is why we are pleased that a good alternative has been found. Together with Recirculo , Krommenhoek introduced a digital payment method in the fall of 2021. Not only because cash is becoming increasingly difficult to use, but also because, compared to cash, digital payments are faster, (much) safer, and very convenient.

As a customer, you'll appreciate that the money is deposited directly into your account. You'll also receive a receipt for the transaction.
