Dutch national soccer team bus delivered to Krommenhoek Metals as scrap metal

Rotterdam, June 21, 2012

From our correspondent:

Rotterdam – Employees at Krommenhoek Metals in Rotterdam were taken aback this morning. They thought they’d seen it all when it came to scrap metal. But today, the Dutch national soccer team’s bus suddenly pulled into the yard.

The KNVB’s request was to scrap the bus and return the proceeds quickly. Press officer Kees Jansma said with a wink, “We’ll need some cash again soon to pay for a new coach.”

For the shipyard workers at Krommenhoek Metals, a job like this is no problem. Especially now that they can chop up the symbol of this disastrous European Championship.

Weighmaster Hans Kamman: “We would have preferred to cut up the Germans’ bus, but this is pretty special, too!”

In fact, the metal recycling company even arranged a taxi for Kees Jansma and the driver. For Krommenhoek Metals, ensuring customer satisfaction from start to finish is simply business as usual.
