A Fresh New Look for the Krommenhoek Metals Sorting Facility

When you come to Krommenhoek to drop off your scrap iron and other scrap metals, you’re our guest. That’s why we want to make it a fun and pleasant experience for you. Our slogan is Service at Schroot. That’s what we strive to embody throughout our entire company. What does that mean for you? Our staff will make sure you’re welcomed warmly and assisted promptly. You can unload scrap metal indoors, so you won’t have to deal with inclement weather. And while you’re checking out or afterward, you can grab a cup of coffee in our snack corner. It’s decorated in a way that’s instantly recognizable to our guests, just like the entrance to the drop-off location. That way, you’re greeted upon arrival by the always cheerful Heintje Schroot.

The checkout counter now has a warm, inviting look, thanks to the new wooden paneling. There’s now a coffee machine in the snack corner. The coffee is free and comes from Heilige Boontjes, right here in Rotterdam. Made by young people with a bit of an edge (click this link for more info). For those who are interested, we’ve also installed a vending machine. For a reasonable price, you can grab a refreshing drink on hot days or a snack when you’re feeling peckish.
