Scrap prices for scrap iron and other scrap metals are falling

Scrap prices for scrap iron and other scrap metals are still relatively high at the moment. Prices for high-quality scrap iron are still well above €200 per metric ton. However, due to the challenging sales market both domestically and abroad in recent months, prices for scrap metals have fallen.

Non-ferrous metal prices are not particularly strong at the moment. Last week, a slight decline in the copper price was recorded, and this trend is continuing this week. Nickel, lead, aluminum, and zinc are showing fluctuating movements both up and down, but the overall trend is virtually stable.

Given the relatively high scrap prices, combined with the upcoming vacation months, a slight downward trend in scrap prices in the near future cannot be ruled out.
