Refunds via Tikkie Are Now Available at Krommenhoek Metals

It’s hard to have missed it: there’s been a lot of talk about cash lately. The government and banks are now implementing policies to discourage its use. At the major banks, ordering cash is becoming increasingly expensive, and withdrawing it is getting harder. In addition, national legislation is being drafted that would set a limit on the amount of cash allowed per transaction. The minimum amount for this limit has yet to be determined.

Krommenhoek Metals doesn’t want to wait for all that to happen. That’s why, together withRecirculoandTikkie, we’ve launched a pilot program and are proud to announce that we’ve introduced Tikkie Terug as a payment method effective immediately. A major advantage is that the money is deposited directly into your account. Of course, you’ll receive a receipt for it. Incidentally, cash payments remain an option as well, within the legal framework.

Implementation

We’ve been working hard over the past few months to enable payments to customers using Tikkie Terug. But we’ve actually been working on this for much longer. A few years ago, an ATM was installed at Krommenhoek Metals to facilitate cash payments. This allows us to better ensure the safety of our employees and our valued customers. And since last year, we’ve had a fully cloud-based solution for our software—a major step toward reducing paperwork. However, our payments to customers dropping off materials were still being processed on paper. That’s about to change as well.

We see this as the next step: implementing Retour Tikkie in collaboration with our software provider, Recirculo. Incidentally, ABN AMRO also refers to the application as Tikkie Terug.
